During the COVID-19 pandemic, we must continue to uphold the rights and responsibilities afforded us under human rights law. Every person has the right to equal treatment without discrimination or harassment when it is connected to a protected characteristic and related to COVID-19. This includes unreasonable discrimination or harassment based on country of origin, ethic origin, ancestry, race and disability.

As we work together to flatten the COVID-19 curve, we must also work together to ensure that equity, dignity and respect towards others during this pandemic are not forgotten.
